The Minnesota Wild were shut out on Saturday night and are now in a 3-1 deficit after a 4-0 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 4 of their best-of-seven Stanley Cup playoff series.
The first period went against the Wild when Nicolas Roy scored at 10:37 to put Vegas on the board. Minnesota responded 19 seconds later when Joel Eriksson Ek scored the game-tying goal but it was taken off the board when the officials called goaltender interference on Marcus Foligno.

With the officials also missing a high sticking call on Kirill Kaprizov that left him bleeding, the Wild went into the first intermission down 1-0. Vegas doubled their lead in the second period when Alex Tuch slashed through the Wild defense to score his third goal of the series.
The Wild seemed to get some good luck when Zach Whitecloud high-sticked Zach Parise to give Minnesota a four-minute power play. The Wild couldn’t get anything going with the man advantage and Mark Stone scored a shorthanded goal to put Minnesota down 3-0 after two periods.
With the Wild unable to generate offense in the third period, they pulled Cam Talbot with four minutes remaining but Vegas buried the dagger with an empty-net goal from Roy to put the Wild on the brink of elimination.
The Wild will be in a win-or-go-home situation on Monday when they travel to Vegas for Game 5. Monday’s game will start at 9:30 p.m.
