Andra Day put on a magnificent performance during the annual ESPYs “In Memoriam” segment of the show on Wednesday night, but there appeared to be one glaring omission – Flip Saunders.
Saunders, who died of lymphoma last October, wasn’t shown on TV with 30 other athletes, coaches, sports executives and broadcasters recognized during Day’s rendition of her song “Rearview.”

But according to Michael Rand, ESPN claims they did show Saunders – just not on TV. So unless you were in the audience you wouldn’t have known it.
Confirmed via ESPN pr folks that Flip Saunders WAS part of ESPYs tribute but for whatever reason that part wasn't televised
