A 34-point lead was almost not enough, but the Minnesota Timberwolves held off the Atlanta Hawks 117-107 to win in Atlanta for the first time since 2002.
1. Wolves open up red hot
From the opening tip the Timberwolves were red hot Monday night, putting up 72 points by halftime– just two shy of the franchise record for a half.
Andrew Wiggins went for 33 points equaling his career high from Saturday night.
Ricky Rubio finished with 10 points and eight assists. Karl-Anthony Towns posted a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Zach LaVine also chipped in 13 points and six assists in the Wolves victory.

2. Wheels come off in the third
After opening up a 30-point lead through the first half, thanks to great offensive execution and timely shooting, the Wolves stumbled in the third quarter with turnover after turnover.
However, Atlanta flipped the script on the Wolves in the second half.

3. Dangerous on the road
After giving up the 34-point lead, the Wolves closed the game on an 11-0 run to put it away. The win moves the Wolves to 4-0 on the road this season.
