Timberwolves point guard Tyus Jones left the game in Philadelphia on Tuesday evening with what looks to be a serious ankle injury.
After the game, Jones was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain, according to Jon Krawczynski of the Athletic.
Jones had to helped off the court by Timberwolves personnel without putting any weight on his left leg. The video replay shows a nasty turn of his left ankle.

It was the Wolves’ first meeting against Jimmy Butler since being traded to Philadelphia in November, and the Sixers were leading by 28 points when Jones went down.
Butler showed Jones some love by tapping his former teammate on the shoulder as he left the court.

Jones’ injury comes one day after his brother, Tre Jones, was injured playing for the Duke Blue Devils, the same college Jones starred at before being drafted by the Wolves.
