Two Vikings players were selected as alternates to the NFC Pro Bowl Team, according to the Pioneer Press.
Vikings coach Leslie Frazier announced that offensive linemen John Sullivan and Matt Kalil were chosen as alternates. On Wednesday, running back Adrian Peterson, defensive end Jared Allen, fullback Jerome Felton, and rookie kicker Blair Walsh were named to play in the Pro Bowl in Honolulu on Jan. 27.
Frazier expressed disappointment that none of the team’s offensive linemen were recognized as Pro Bowl players. He said that they deserved credit for helping Peterson close in on the NFL’s single-season rushing record.
