Twins fans seeking a mid-winter baseball fix will pack the Metrodome this weekend, where the club holds its annual TwinsFest celebration.
Everything starts at 4 p.m. today, and goes through Sunday afternoon. Proceeds benefit the Twins Community Fund. Take a look at the detailed schedule, right here.
The highlights include player autographs, live radio interviews and youth baseball clinics. But that’s just scratching the surface.
Dave Mona, longtime WCCO sports radio host and memorabilia dealer, checked in with the Pioneer Press to offer up his best TwinsFest tips.
Mona says the best bargain — by far — are the $15 grab bags, which all feature a Twins medallion set as well as autographed items. As for Twins memorabilia, Mona says you’ll see “more Wheaties boxes than you can imagine.”
Over at TwinsDaily.com, Kirsten Brown put together a “10 Things To Do and See” list. Her take: Make a plan (autograph lines can be long) and sing your heart out.
