Twins general manager Terry Ryan says Josh Willingham will be sent out on a rehab stint with Triple-A Rochester this weekend.
TwinsBaseball.com reports that Willingham, who underwent arthroscopic surgery on his knee July 3rd, has been taking batting practice before games this week.
On top of that, fellow outfielders Darin Mastroianni and Wilkin Ramirez are moving their rehab stints from the Gulf Coast League to High ‘A’ Fort Myers and Double-A New Britain, respectfully.
“We’re trying to spread it out,” Ryan said. “Willingham will play left some and DH, but the other two guys we’re going to make sure they play left, center and right.”
