Hours ahead of Game 1 of the American League Divisional Series between the Twins and Astros, the Twins have announced the starting lineup, and it looks a lot like the lineup the Twins used for the majority of their Wild Card series with the Toronto Blue Jays.
All nine players that started both games against the Blue Jays return to the lineup but Matt Wallner and Ryan Jeffers switched spots in the lone change for Saturday’s series opener.
Here’s how the Twins will go in Game 1:
- 2B Edouard Julien, L
- 3B Jorge Polanco, S
- DH Royce Lewis, R
- RF Max Kepler, L
- 1B Alex Kirilloff, L
- SS Carlos Correa, R
- LF Matt Wallner, L
- C Ryan Jeffers, R
- CF Michael A. Taylor, R
Game 1 starts at 3:45 p.m. CT.
