In Florida, more roster cuts today for the Twins.
Six players were sent to the minors, including catcher Chris Herrmann. He was sent to Triple A.
Pitching prospect Trevor May — who came to Minnesota as part of the Ben Revere trade — was sent to Double A.
According to the Twins official website, the club now has 56 players in camp: 27 pitchers (eight non-roster invitees), seven catchers (four), 12 infielders (six) and 10 outfielders (four).
On Sunday, the team reassigned right-handers Bryan Augenstein, Nick Blackburn, Alex Meyer, Lester Oliveros and Esmerling Vasquez to the minors.
