Think you have what it takes to get to the big leagues?
The Minnesota Twins are holding an open tryout June 19 at Metrodome.
Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. outside Gate H. Candidates must have graduated high school, reached their junior year of college, or be 21 years or older.
Charley Walters of the Pioneer Press tried out in 1966 and was signed by the Twins. He pitched in the majors three years later.
The last player signed out of a tryout was Mark Hamburger in 2007. He’s currently pitching for the St. Paul Saints.
