Through the first two games, the Minnesota Twins struggled to generate offense. In Sunday’s game with the Seattle Mariners, the lineup found its form, smacking seven home runs in a 10-4 win.
The onslaught started early when Byron Buxton hit a leadoff home run to get the Twins on the board. After the Twins were gifted an extra out on an Adam Frazier error, Gary Sanchez made up for his premature bat flip on Opening Day, crushing a 446-foot grand slam to give Minnesota a 5-0 lead.

The Twins expanded their lead in the second inning when Buxton hit his third home run in his last three at-bats to put Minnesota up 6-0.
The Mariners climbed back into the game in the top of the third when Adam Frazier delivered an RBI single and Mitch Haniger hit a three-run homer off Bailey Ober. But the Twins responded by continuing to hit home runs.
Max Kepler homered in the bottom of the third inning before Jorge Polanco delivered a solo shot in the fourth. Carlos Correa joined the party in the sixth inning, smashing his first home run as a Twin to make it a 9-4 game.

Sanchez capped off the offensive outburst in the seventh, delivering an RBI double. He finished the day going 2-for-4 at the plate with five RBI and helped the Twins bullpen enjoy a stress-free afternoon at the ballpark.
With Emilio Pagan and Jhon Romero closing it out, the Twins were able to celebrate their first win of the year.
The Twins will wrap up their four-game series with the Mariners on Monday night when Dylan Bundy makes his Minnesota debut against Chris Flexen.
