The Minnesota Twins took another step toward the postseason on Saturday night as they used an eighth inning explosion to lead them over the Cleveland Indians by a score of 8-4.
The Twins started their night off with a bang as Marwin Gonzalez delivered a two-run home run and Willians Astudillo smashed a solo home run in the bottom of the second to give Minnesota a 3-0 lead.
After the Indians scored a pair of runs in the top of the fourth, the Twins kept their distance thanks to Byron Buxton’s seventh home run of the season.

Despite a 5-2 advantage, Cleveland began to claw back with a Jordan Luplow triple in the sixth and heads up play by Jose Ramirez to score on a passed ball in the eighth inning.
But the Twins put the foot on the gas in the bottom of the eighth, getting back-to-back home runs from Eddie Rosario and Miguel Sano to blow the game open.
