The Minnesota Twins gained ground in the American League Central race, defeating the Chicago Cubs 4-0 on Sunday night. The win helped Minnesota pull within two games of the Chicago White Sox entering the final week of the regular season.
For the second straight night, the Twins were able to get on the board early. Eddie Rosario gave Minnesota an early lead with an RBI single off Yu Darvish in the first inning and Max Kepler added an RBI groundout in the second to put the Twins ahead 2-0.
The lead was all Jose Berrios needed as he tossed six shutout innings while Darvish settled down. As the game entered the seventh inning, Max Kepler crushed a two-run home run off Darvish to extend double the Twins lead.

The bullpen ensured the Twins returned the favor after they were shut out on Friday night and the Twins left Wrigley Field after taking two of three games.
After an off day on Monday, the Twins will begin a two-game series with the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday at Target Field.
