Not only did the Twins lose to the Royals on Saturday night, they also lost utility player Danny Santana to the 15-day disabled list.
The Twins placed Santana on the DL with a strained right hamstring and called up outfielder Max Kepler.
The @Twins have placed Danny Santana on the DL (hamstring) & will recall Max Kepler. Kepler will join Twins tomorrow & wear uniform #26

Santana suffered the injury in the sixth inning of the Twins’ 7-0 loss to the Royals Saturday in Kansas City.
Twins CF Danny Santana exits after coming up lame on a play and is replaced by Byron Buxton. Minnesota trails 6-0 to the Royals in the 6th

Max Kepler has the ability to be an All Star caliber player. Coming up for Santana, he's going to force his way into the lineup #MNTwins

Maybe Max Kepler can provide a spark for this team. Kepler is ranked the No. 44 overall prospect by @MLBPipeline. Can play all 3 OF spots.
