Talk about a day of highs and lows for Twins third baseman Trevor Plouffe.
On Wednesday, Plouffe was activated from the 7-day concussion disabled list. He was finally feeling well enough to play after being kneed in the head in Atlanta about a week earlier.
Manager Ron Gardenhire penciled Plouffe’s name in the lineup for Wednesday’s game, only to scratch it off when Plouffe injured his calf during pregame warmups.
The injury forced the Twins to put Plouffe back on the 15 day DL.
Chris Colabello is on his way back from Triple-A Rochester to take Plouffe’s roster spot.
