Wade was diving for a ball hit to the outfield gap, where he never saw his teammate coming. His head went right into the midsection of the oncoming fielder. Wade needed a stretcher to take him off the field.

An encouraging sign, Minor League Baseball tweeted that Wade indeed gave the crowd a thumbs up as he was being wheeled off the field.
