The Twins optioned outfielder Chris Colabello back to Triple-A Rochester following Sunday’s 10-0 win over the Mariners.
Colabello was recalled from Rochester last week after infielder Trevor Plouffe was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained calf.
As for Plouffe, the Pioneer Press reports that he’s restlessly waiting for his calf to heal so he can get back on the field.
“I feel a lot better, to be honest with you,” Plouffe said. “You’ve got to heal it and work the strength back, then start doing baseball activities. And then I assume I’ll be sent on a rehab assignment. I haven’t heard yet. But I want to get all that done within the 15 days, so I think June 13 I can come back.”
The Twins are off Monday before starting a six game road trip in Kansas City on Tuesday.
