With a 9-10 record at Target Field, the Twins aren’t taking advantage of their home-field advantage.
Entering Tuesday, only the Blue Jays and Astros had more home losses than Minnesota. Still, they’ve found a way to stay within 3 1/2 games of the first place Tigers.
“You would like to get hot and stay hot and ramble off a good little streak,” second baseman Jamey Carroll told the Pioneer Press. “We’ve been unable to do that, but we’re hanging around.”
If the Twins want to keep hanging around, they’ll have to keep playing well on the road, because following this weekend’s series against the Red Sox, the Twins play 15 of the next 20 games on the road.
