Joe Mauer received good news from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester on Friday.
The Pioneer Press reports that doctors cleared Mauer for light exercise.
The Twins’ All-Star catcher was placed on the seven-day disabled list earlier this week after suffering a concussion during Monday’s game against the Mets.
”He’ll see the trainer Saturday and then start trying to figure out when he’s ready to start exercising,” Twins assistant general manager Rob Antony explained to Yahoo! Sports. “Depending on how he feels, he might start walking and exercising. It’s kind of a play-it-by-ear, day-by-day thing.”
