Minnesota Twins 0
Washington Nationals 2
The Minnesota Twins had just 2 hits in their loss to Washington this afternoon; Minnesota’s offense tied a single-game record for strikeouts in the loss.
1. 18 punch outs
The Twins matched a team-record for strikeouts today, striking out 18 times. Washington starter Tanner Roark had 15 of those strikeouts, throwing 121 pitches through his 7 innings of work.
Sano strikes out. That's 18, tying a Twins single-game record.

2. No support for Hughes
Phil Hughes kept the Twins in the game today pitching 7 innings and allowed just 2 runs.
Hughes has allowed 3 runs or less in each of his 4 starts this season but has taken the loss in 3 of those starts
3. Sano starts at third
Back in February, Minnesota said they did not want Sano to play much of any third base this year (pending an injury to Trevor Plouffe) according to Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com.
With Plouffe still on the DL, Minnesota was forced to play their budding-star back at his natural position.
Remember when the Twins said Miguel Sano would only be an outfielder and gave him zero spring reps at third base? He's starting at 3B today.
