The Minnesota Twins will send right-hander Samuel Deduno to the hill Saturday afternoon for the third game of a four-game series with the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field. MLB.com notes Deduno, 3-3 with a 4.25 ERA in seven starts on the road this year, is aiming for his third straight victory.
The Twins will face veteran right-hander Aaron Harang for the second time this season, according to the Associated Press. The 35-year-old is 4-4 with a 4.55 ERA in ten starts at Safeco Field this season.
Chris Colabello’s first career home run in the 13th inning lifted the Twins over the Mariners, 3-2 Friday night in Seattle. It was one of Scott Diamond’s best starts of the season, allowing just one run on five hits in 6 2/3 innings.
Joe Mauer, who is on paternity leave, won’t be in a Twins lineup until at least Tuesday.
