If Logan Morrison had it his way, he’d have built Target Field and every other open-air stadium in baseball with a roof.
Morrison just hates playing in the cold weather, and posted to Instagram about it before Wednesday’s cold, snowy Twins-Pirates game in Pittsburgh.
“New rule. You build a stadium, it has to come with a roof. This is fun for no one, including fans. It’s 2018, people want to be comfortable while watching and playing games,” he wrote.

When asked about his opinion after the Twins beat the Pirates, Morrison, according to the Pioneer press, said he got plenty of backlash but reiterated that he doesn’t think “anyone wants to freeze and watch a baseball game.”
Minnesota opens it’s home portion of the schedule this afternoon at Target Field against the Seattle Mariners, and the high temperature for the Home Opener is a chilly 36 degrees with rain and snow possible during the game.

Luckily, the Twins don’t play Friday when the high temp in Minneapolis will have a tough time cracking 20 degrees.
But the weekend games look terrible, with a high of 30 degrees on Saturday followed by a possible snowstorm and a high of 29 on Sunday.
In fairness to Morrison, he’s spent most of his career in Florida with the Marlins and Rays, so he’s not exactly used to this cold stuff.
