Major League Baseball’s Winter Meetings wrapped up Thursday and the Twins left without making free-agent signings or trades.
General Manager Terry Ryan, via the Twins’ website, said he didn’t expect to be very active at the meetings and he’s positive he’ll add bullpen help before the end of the month.

“We had a number of conversations and I expect something to come to fruition as we go through the month of December,” Ryan said. “I’d like to get some things accomplished so we can rest a little easier.”
One name to keep an eye on is Nationals closer Drew Storen, whom the Wasington Post reports the Twins have inquired about.

Storen led Washington with 29 saves last season while striking out 67 and walking 16 in 55 innings.
Adding a strikeout arm like Storen’s to the back of the bullpen would give Minnesota three high-quality relievers, joining right-handed set-up man Kevin Jepsen and All-Star closer Glen Perkins.
Storen would also be capable of stepping in as the closer if Perkins’ second-half struggles of 2015 carry over into the 2016 season.
Rhett Bollinger of TwinsBaseball.com says the Twins are looking for strikeout pitchers, meaning it’s unlikely that left-hander Brian Duensing and right-hander Blaine Boyer will be brought back.
