The Twins have put together a nice 4 game winning streak after beating the Tigers, 6-4 tonight in Detroit. The Twins batted around in the in the fourth inning, scoring four runs and they never looked back. With the win the Twins are now just 8 games behind the White Sox in the AL Central.
Liam Hendriks could have earned his first major league win, but he ran into trouble in the fifth inning and was pulled after allowing four runs in four innings. Glen Perkins picked up the save in the ninth inning.
And it was a milestone victory for Ron Gardenhire — his 900th career victory managing the Twins. That’s good for second most behind Tom Kelly in team history.
