With the 20th pick in Monday’s MLB Draft, the Minnesota Twins selected Oregon State outfielder Trevor Larnach.
Larnach is a 6-foot-4, 205-pound left-handed hitter who plays right field for No. 2 ranked Oregon State. He’s got MLB average power, according to MLB Network and has a good outfield arm.
He’s hitting .327 with 17 homers, 65 RBI and a .626 slugging percentage this season.
Larnach only had three homers in his first two seasons at Oregon State but his power exploded as a junior, and he was able to hit the ball over the all to all areas of the field.
Interestingly, Minnesotans will get a good look at Larnach this week when the Gophers and Oregon State meeting in a best-of-three series in the NCAA Tournament.
Larnach’s teammate, infielder Nick Madrigal, was taken fourth overall in the draft.

This is the second year that Derek Falvey, the Twins’ Chief Baseball Officer, is in charge of the draft for Minnesota. He led the decision-making that led the Twins to take 18-year-old shortstop Royce Lewis with the No. 1 overall pick last season.
Lewis is off to a fantastic start in the minors, and was recently referred to as the second coming of future Hall of Fame shortstop, Derek Jeter.
