The Minnesota Twins picked up a much-needed victory on Tuesday night as they crushed the Milwaukee Brewers to finish their current road trip with a 12-2 victory.
The Twins set the tone for the night early against Milwaukee starter Eric Lauer, scoring five runs in the second to put them on top and didn’t let up with every Twins starter recording a hit.
That paved the way for a third-inning blast by Miguel Sano that traveled 441 feet according to Statcast and nearly put a dent into Bernie Brewer’s slide in left field.

Joining Sano in the offensive barrage was Byron Buxton, who hit his fourth and fifth home run of the season, all coming on this road trip, to give Kenta Maeda a large margin of error.

Maeda carried a no-hit bid into the sixth inning but still had a solid night, allowing two runs on five hits, a walk and striking out five Brewers for his third win of the season.
The Twins improve to 12-7 on the season and will head home to start a three-game series with the Kansas City Royals on Friday night. Jake Odorizzi (0-0, 6.00 ERA) will make his second start of the season opposing Jake Junis (0-0, 4.00 ERA) for the Royals.
