“I can keep our team in the ballgame.”
That from Kevin Correia, the Twins’ new No. 2 starter, who takes the mound against the Tigers today.
Correia, a National League pitcher his entire career, tells the Pioneer Press he’s not nervous about making his debut in front of Twins fans.
But also says he wants to make “a good first impression.”
Last week , Correia pitched five solid innings against the Red Sox in his final spring training start. In 25 innings, he ended with a 5.40 ERA.
As for the lineup: Same starting nine as Monday, with Joe Mauer again in the two hole.
