Glen Perkins is unavailable to pitch in Friday night’s series opener against the Baltimore Orioles.
The Twins closer is experience soreness in his left side, which he says started after he struck out Boston’s Shane Victorino in the ninth inning of Thursday’s win over the Red Sox.
The team didn’t have a status update for Perkins’ availability for the rest of the series.
