Phil Hughes and Trevor May will start for the Twins in Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Red Sox, and Thursday’s starting pitcher will be Tommy Milone, according to multiple reports out of Boston.
Per the Star Tribune’s Phil Miller, Milone will start Thursday and be followed by Kyle Gibson Friday and possibly Ricky Nolasco on Saturday.
Nolasco was pulled from his last start, Sunday against Toronto, after feeling soreness in his ankle. There was talk of a potential trip to the disabled list but an MRI came back negative, and his starting status will be determined based on an upcoming throwing session.
Tommy Milone will start tomorrow's game. Gibson pushed back to Friday. TBD Saturday depending on how Nolasco's side session goes tomorrow.

If Nolasco isn’t ready to pitch Saturday, Miller says relief pitcher J.R. Graham could get a spot start.
Twins will start Tommy Milone on Thursday, Kyle Gibson on Friday, and Ricky Nolasco (or JR Graham) on Saturday.

Milone has dominated at Triple-A Rochester since being demoted after four starts early in the season. But as Aaron Gleeman points out, don’t expect Milone to continue his torrid strikeout pace at the big-league level.
Milone struck out 12 and 13 batters in back-to-back Triple-A starts, but he’s never fanned more than 10 in a game at the Major League level.
