Byron Buxton is temporarily out of action after injuring a tooth while biting into what we can only assume was the least tender bite of steak in the history of cattle.
According to reports out of spring training in Florida, Buxton cracked a tooth eating steak that wound up requiring a root canal.
Byron Buxton cracked a tooth eating steak and had to undergo a root canal this week. The Twins expect him back shortly.

Buxton is a pro athlete, so he was undoubtedly feasting on a perfect tenderloin cut of filet mignon, or a ribeye at worst.
If it comes to light that he was eating a barbaric cut of flank steak or God forbid a round steak, then new questions about how cheap the Pohlads are will have to be raised.
I had a root canal once, but not because I suffered a mouth injury eating a delicious piece of meat. It was because I didn’t go to the dentist for way too long. How long? I’ll never tell.
Anyway, better Buxton’s tooth than a leg or an arm. He’ll be fine. As bad as this is, it’s not as embarrassing as ex-Twin Marty Cordova’s tanning bed injury.
