Playing in 100-degree heat with a heat index in excess of 110 degrees, the Brewers rallied to beat the Twins 8-7 in 10 innings Wednesday afternoon in Milwaukee.
Tied 7-7 in the 10th, Willy Adames was on third base with two outs when Brice Turang chopped a 102 mph fastball from Jhoan Duran to third base and beat Royce Lewis’s throw to first base for the game-winning hit.

The Twins led 3-2 after Lewis’s two-run homer in the third inning, and Michael A. Taylor’s two-run homer put Minnesota up 5-3 in the fourth. A solo shot from Kyle Farmer made it 6-3 in the sixth.

The Brewers clawed within one on Adames’s two-run homer in the sixth and tied the game 6-6 on Tyrone Taylor’s homer in the seventh.
Minnesota then led 7-6 on Ryan Jeffers’s infield RBI single in the 10th before the Brewers scored twice in the bottom of the 10th.
The loss drops the Twins to 65-62 ahead of a four-game series at Target Field Thursday-Sunday against the AL West-leading Texas Rangers (72-54, who have lost six consecutive games.
