Chris Colabello had two hits and four RBIs as the Minnesota Twins beat the Cleveland Indians 10-7 on Sunday in Cleveland, Yahoo Sports reports.
Brian Dozier scored three times and Joe Mauer had three hits and scored twice for the Twins, who took two out of three in the series with Cleveland. They won Saturday to give Ron Gardenhire his 1,000th career win as a manager.
Both starting pitchers had rough outings. Cleveland starter Justin Masterson gave up six runs on seven hits in 3 2/3 innings, while Twins starter Ricky Nolasco gave up five runs on seven hits and four walks in four innings, according to Yahoo.
Colabello broke a 6-6 tie in the sixth inning with a three-run double.
Reliever Anthony Swarzak (1-0) picked up the win, and Glen Perkins got his second save of the season.
The Twins play their home opener at Target Field Monday against the Oakland A’s. Gametime is 3:10 p.m.
