We’re exactly three weeks from the Minnesota Twins’ season opener at the Baltimore Orioles, which means Monday is a day to start trimming the spring training roster.
The Twins announced a series of roster moves that sent the following players to either Triple-A Rochester, Double-A Chattanooga, Class A Fort Myers or to a Minor League camp.
- Triple-A: Pat Dean, Mike Strong, Adam Brett Walker
- Double-A: Mason Melotakis, J.T. Chargois
- Class A: Randy Rosario, Yorman Landa
- Minor League camp: Jake Reed, Alex Swim, Heiker Menesses, Engelb Vielma, Reynaldo Rodriguez
Nothing big here other than six of them being among the top 30 prospects on the team, according to Rhett Bollinger.
Walker hit 31 homers at Double-A last season and Chargois posted a 2.63 ERA at multiple levels.
