For the first time since the second game of the season, Wolves forward/center Ronny Turiaf is active and available for the Timberwolves as they take on Philadelphia.
Turiaf fractured his elbow in Minnesota’s second game of the year against Oklahoma City on this play.
His activation was made possible by rookie Shabazz Muhammad’s assignment to the D-league late last week.
Muhammad’s demotion was made easier by the impending return of swingman Chase Budinger, who has a similar skill set to Muhammad, and the word today was Budinger is still awaiting clearance to get back to game action, though that moment is rumored to be close.
The Wolves are on the court against Philadelphia right now as they look to once again get back above .500. Minnesota hasn’t been more than two games above or below even since Nov. 16.
