Despite suffering their first Big Ten loss of the season at Indiana on Saturday, Gophers head coach Tubby Smith was pleased with his team’s effort. Minnesota trailed by 23 points at the half, but showed “a lot of heart, a lot of soul, a lot of character” down the stretch.
Tubby went as far as to say Minnesota had “Indiana on the ropes” before losing down the stretch.
Next up for the Gophers is a game against No. 2 Michigan, which lost its first game of the season to No. 15 Ohio State on Sunday.
