Wolves fans, you’re going to love this.
Karl-Anthony Towns was at Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night and he told NBA TV that he was there because he wants to “learn what it takes to be in the NBA Finals and how it looks when you are there.
“I’m here just to soak it all up and try to bring this kind of atmosphere and energy to Minnesota,” Towns said.
Making the playoffs
“We expect to make the playoffs. I don’t think anyone in the NBA world thinks that we can’t do it. We have the talent. We have the organization and we have the coaching to do it. It’s all up to the players now to execute.”
“I think the biggest thing is that we have that unity. And that’s the first sign of a championship team,” Towns said. “It’s a very excited time to be a Minnesota Timberwolf and especially be a fan. The future looks very bright.”
Adding to his game
“I’ve also added some new tools to the tool box,” he said. “I can’t wait to show them.”
Clearly, there’s plenty of reason to be excited about the Timberwolves, who will get better next Thursday with the fifth pick in the NBA Draft.
