Towns finished with 25 points, 18 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks.
At 21 years, 57 days old, he became the third-youngest player since the NBA/ABA merger in 1973 to have a game with at least 20 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks. The two youngest players to do it are Chris Webber and Shaquille O’Neal, according to Elias, via ESPN.
Towns is averaging 21.7 points, 11.8 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.5 blocks per game. Wednesday marked his 10th straight game with a double-double and his 29th of the season, which is third in the NBA behind James Harden (34) and Russell Westbrook (31).
