Karl-Anthony Towns was awarded the February Western Conference Rookie of the Month honors today, according to a statement from the Timberwolves. This month’s win marks the fourth consecutive month that Towns has taken the award, putting him among a rarified list of NBA players with dominant rookie seasons, including David Robinson, Tim Duncan, Shaq and his teammate, Andrew Wiggins.

The combined performance of Towns and Wiggins have made the Timberwolves the first team to have two players win conference Rookie of the Month awards at least four times in consecutive seasons.
Timberwolves forward Gorgui Deng also won the award March of 2014, meaning that the Wolves have won 75% of the last 12 Rookie of the Month awards.
