The No. 1 pick in the draft was clicking on all cylinders Wednesday night in Las Vegas.
Karl-Anthony Towns scored 20 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked 3 shots for the Timberwolves in a Summer League tournament game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Towns did it all. He dunked, passed, blocked shots, scored with his back to the basket, facing up, driving to the hoop and more.

Portland won the game, 82-77, knocking Minnesota into the consolation bracket. The Wolves will wrap up their summer league stint with a final game on Friday.
It was by far Towns’ best performance through four games. Grantland’s Andrew Sharp already firmly believes Towns has the chance to be the next great do-it-all big man in the NBA.
“I watched Karl-Anthony Towns defend, pass, turn in for easy hook shots, step into jumpers, and move like all of this is completely natural. At some point I started wondering, When was the last time we had an ass-kicking center who could just do everything?
Because it sure seems like that’s what’s coming in Minnesota.”
After dominating the Blazers he joined the guys from “The Starters” (just like Zach LaVine did earlier this week) to talk hoops, salad dressings, hip hop, skinny jeans, smart phone apps, Avengers, TV shows and more.
Sports snobs can debate one of the questions Towns was asked: Which of these former No. 1 picks would he take first overall?
- Hakeem Olajuwon
- Shaquille O’Neal
- David Robinson
