The Timberwolves have played better basketball over their last 16 games posting a record of 9-7. They enter Saturday’s tilt with the Houston Rockets three games back of the eighth seed in the Western Conference.
A big reason for the team’s turnaround has been the play of Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins as both players are nearly averaging 30 points per game.

Towns:
- 28.4 points per game.
- 11.9 rebounds.
- 59 percent from the floor.
- 43 percent three.
Wiggins:
- 27.6 points per game.
- 50 percent from the floor
- 39 percent from three.
With Zach LaVine out with a torn ACL, Towns and Wiggins have turned things up to a new level.
Over the course of the NBA season, there’s only six players in the league that have averaged over 27 points per game.
Through the last 16 games the Wolves have two players in that club.
