The violent E-F4 tornado that destroyed parts of Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Sunday afternoon just missed the home of fromer Vikings quarterback Brett Favre.
In an interview with USA Today, Favre said the tornado touched down “probably a half-mile to one mile straight east of my property,” before crossing the main highway in Hattiesburg.
Favre had just returned home after picking up his 13-year-old daughter from volleyball practice at South Mississippi University, where the tornado caused major damage.
The destructive storm destroyed Oak Grove High School, where Favre served an an unpaid offensive coordinator last year.
