If there’s one thing that was a guarantee each week in the 2024 NFL season for the Minnesota Vikings, it was the fact they were going to put on a celebration to remember against their opponents.
Safeties Camryn Bynum and Josh Metellus were the ringleaders of the planned choreography that went into each themed celebration for the defense, routinely making it on the highlight reels and filling up the majority of this list.
Here’s a ranking of the 10 best Vikings celebrations from this past year.
10. Aaron Jones’ first home ‘Bank Vault’
The running back had plenty of Lambeau Leaps in Green Bay and Vikings fans were anticipating his first replica of the celebration at U.S. Bank Stadium, and they got it in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions. It was coined the ‘Bank Vault’ by Aaron Jones himself after he scored in Week 1 on the road against the New York Giants.

9. Aaron Jones’ Spider-Man pose
Whether it was planned or a failed “Bank Vault” celebration, Aaron Jones celebrated his 50th career rushing touchdown with similarities to the signature Spider-Man pose against the Bears in Week 15.

8. Jordan Addison’s and Justin Jefferson’s fastbreak
After a touchdown scored by wide receiver Jordan Addison against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 14, he teamed up with Justin Jefferson to get a quick fastbreak going. Addison made the first pass, then Jefferson, and the second-year wideout finished it off with a slowed down Eurostep and layup. Jefferson was mic’d up for the game.

7. Justin Jefferson’s shoutout to Randy Moss
Two days after Vikings legend and Pro Football Hall of Fame member Randy Moss revealed he was diagnosed with cancer and received treatment during a six-day hospital stay before being released, Justin Jefferson hauled in a touchdown reception on Sunday Night Football against the Chicago Bears in Week 15 and shouted out Moss.
“WE LOVE YOU RANDY!” Jefferson shouted into the camera.

6. Camryn Bynum’s ‘Raygun’ dance
Australian breakdancer Rachael Gunn — known competitively as “Raygun” — went viral this past summer for her performance in the 2024 Summer Paris Olympics and Vikings safety Camryn Bynum busted out the same moves after he intercepted a pass against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10.

5. Camryn Bynum’s Usher impression
Before the Raygun celly, Bynum did his best Usher dance impression from the R&B artist’s “New Flame” music video in Week 3 against the Houston Texans.

4. Vikings defense’s ‘Camp Rock’ celebration
In what was one of the more memorable celebrations not just for the Vikings but for the NFL season in general, Minnesota’s defense hit the Camp Rock celebration after a game-sealing interception against the Seattle Seahawks in a Week 16 thriller. It got a reaction out of Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas, as Lovato reposted the celebration on her Instagram story and Jonas commenting about it on X.

3. Camryn Bynum’s and Josh Metellus’ ‘Parent Trap’
Another classic to look back on is when the Vikings took on the New York Jets in London and brought a fitting celebration to Tottenham Stadium in Week 5. Bynum and Metellus paired up to recreate the “Parent Trap” dance between Lindsay Lohan’s and Simon Kunz’s characters. Lohan spoke about it on the “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.”

2. Vikings’ ‘High School Musical’ throwback
During Minnesota’s win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 17, the Vikings defense was back at it with another throwback celebration, this time in the form of “High School Musical.” The scene for the “We’re All In This Together” dance was fitting as the entire defense was fully involved in the celebration. This probably could be ranked No. 1 overall for many.

1. Camryn Bynum and Josh Metellus are the new ‘White Chicks’
The pure coordination and effort to pull off one of the funnier dances in cinema history was mastered to perfection by the Vikings’ two safeties in Week 14 against the Falcons. It’s my top celebration of the year for the purple and gold.
