Legendary Twins manager Tom Kelly had his statue revealed on Friday; below are a few shots of the newest statue at Target Field
As you can see from the photos above, the statue is fairly large and Kelly joked that, “I guess I did manage in the steroid era. I didn’t realize I took any…”
At the bottom of the statue there’s a plaque with an iconic quote from the former manager.
Later today the @Twins will proudly unveil a Tom Kelly statue on Target Plaza. Few – if any – have impacted this org more than TK. pic.twitter.com/e3BmQLDsBX

Along with Kelly, there are five Twins players who have statues at Target Field: Harmon Killebrew, Kirby Puckett, Rod Carew, Kent Hrbek and Tony Olivia.
The team’s first owner Calvin Griffth also has a statue on the plaza, as do subsequent owners Carl and Eloise Pohlad.
This year is the 30th anniversary of the Twins’ first World Series championship, as they defeated the St. Louis Cardinals in 1987.
Kelly managed over 2,000 games in his career and his 1,140 wins are the most in team history. He also helped Minnesota to their second World Series win in 1991.
