The Minnesota Timberwolves grabbed a victory out of nowhere on Friday night, using a 22-0 run to defeat the Houston Rockets 107-101.
The Rockets came out of the gates on fire, but nobody more than Ben McLemore. The veteran started the game knocking down his first six three-pointers on his way to 21 points for the evening.
McLemore was joined by Christian Wood, who also scorched the nets for 24 points. With Wood and McLemore leading the way, Houston went into the locker room with a 63-54 lead at halftime.
The Timberwolves ran cold in the second half but the Wolves bench picked up the slack. Juancho Hernangomez scored 19 points and Naz Reid added 16 points off the pine as Minnesota chipped away at a 19-point lead.
