Taylor Swift landed in the Twin Cities on Friday to play shows on consecutive nights at U.S. Bank Stadium – and she’s been offered an unlikely backing singer.
Ok, so we’re sure the Timberwolves aren’t seriously offering up Jimmy Butler as a possible vocalist for Ms. Swift’s stadium, but their tweet is still pretty darn funny.
It features a video clip (courtesy of Redditor cooperred) from Swift’s hit “I Knew You Were Trouble,” interspersed with Butler’s high-pitched scream as he fell out of a canoe on a Minnesota lake last year.
Welcome to the Twin Cities, @taylorswift13!!!
let us know if you need @JimmyButler for backup vocals this weekend 😂😂

Swift is playing the home of the Vikings on both Friday and Saturday night, while Butler … well … who knows if he’ll be playing in Minnesota anytime soon.
In case you missed the moment Butler fell into the lake while on ESPN’s Hang Time, check it out below.
