
The Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx have made Election Day a holiday, granting their employees the day off so they can vote.
The announcement came via social media on Friday, with the teams taking the step in response to the death of George Floyd, encouraging staff members to have their voices heard on Nov. 3.

The Timberwolves have been responsive in the wake of Floyd’s death, which has sparked outrage and violence throughout the country.
Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Okogie attended a rally for Floyd shortly after his death and on Friday, Malik Beasley teamed up with Kyle Rudolph, P.J. Fleck and Okogie to provide a food drive for those affected by the riots.
