LaMelo Ball drained a 26-foot 3-pointer to give the Hornets a six-point lead with 1:10 left in the fourth quarter and the Timberwolves fell at home to the second worst team in the Eastern Conference Friday night.
Anthony Edwards and Ball traded shots down the stretch as the Wolves and Hornets traded the lead eight times in the final eight minutes of the game.
Minnesota’s sloppiness and inconsistency cost them in what was arguably their easiest remaining game of the season as they drop to 31-31 overall and a game and a half back of Dallas for sixth place in the West.
