The Timberwolves announced in a tweet Saturday that Kevin Love has re-fractured his right hand.
Word of the injury came just hours after the team announced that Love would be sitting out against the Trailblazers Saturday night.

The team said in a follow-up tweet that Love “will be examined by hand specialist Dr. Andy Weiland in NYC later this week and more info will be provided after visit.”
Love injured his hand Thursday night in the Wolves’ win over Denver in what was first thought to be a sprain.
Wolves coach Rick Adelman told the Star Tribune that he expected Love to miss some time after seeing how swollen Love’s hand was after the Denver game, but he “didn’t expect it to be another broken hand.”
The Star Tribune didn’t report an exact time frame, but said Love will be “sidelined for weeks.”
The team is already without Ricky Rubio, who missed the team’s current road trip after suffering from back spasms last weekend.
Love missed the beginning of the season after breaking his hand in October, but returned to the Wolves two weeks earlier than expected on Nov. 21.
