Anthony Edwards’ step-back, mid-range jumper gave the Timberwolves a four-point lead with 33 seconds left in the game and Minnesota held on for a 138-134 win over the Sacramento Kings to finish off a 3-1 California road trip.
It was an all-around performance by Minnesota, who got big games from Mike Conley, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Anthony Edwards, Kyle Anderson, Jaden McDaniels and Rudy Gobert.

Minnesota hit 20-of-39 3-point shots and shot 60% as a team for the game. Alexander-Walker, Conley, McDaniels and Anderson all hit at least three 3-pointers.
At 34-32, the Timberwolves are seventh in the Western Conference, just percentage points behind sixth place Dallas (33-31), one game behind fifth place Golden State (34-30) and two games back of fourth place Phoenix (35-29).
