The Minnesota Timberwolves were playing shorthanded and the Orlando Magic took advantage, handing the Wolves a 100-92 loss Saturday night, the Associated Press reports.
All three of Minnesota’s leading scorers sat out the game with injuries — Kevin Love, Kevin Martin and Nikola Pekovic. And fill-in Chase Budinger left the game with an ankle injury in the first minute of the game and didn’t return.
Ricky Rubio led Minnesota with 18 points and 10 rebounds, and Corey Brewer had 15 for Timberwolves, according to the AP.
Orlando rookie Victor Oladipo scored 16 points to help the Magic snap a three-game losing streak.
The Timberwolves are officially eliminated from the playoffs on Friday.
